My Journey with Early Childhood Education
What I have done
My name is Jordan Layne, I am a graduate from Garnet Valley High school. Throughout my high school years I have taken various classes in this field, childhood development, preschool lab 1 and field experience. In 2021Â I began working at a Childcare and preschool center called Chester Bethel preschool and childcare. Here I have learned so much and taken courses to further my knowledge.
Reflection on my experience so far
Since starting my journey of trying to become a teacher so many people have taught me so many new things, like for example this past spring I took a CPR course that was about 2 hours long and not only did I properly learn how to administrate CPR, I also learned how to deal with other injuries such as burns, cuts, etc. I also took an online course on administrating medicine to children and the proper ways on how to do so. I have learned how to create a safe environment for children to learn taking the different CDA courses as well. I am so thankful for the education I have already received and I am ready to learn so much more!
